BSU To Name Scanlan Head Women’s Coach

It was reported earlier, and I’ve recently confirmed, that Jim Scanlan will be named the new Bemidji State women’s head hockey coach.

Scanlan is a former Bemidji State All-American goaltender and has been coaching hockey at East Grand Forks High School for what feels like forever. He recently lead the Green Wave girls team to the Class A state championship game, where they took second in the state.

The press conference begins at 3 p.m. in the Beaver Pride room on the BSU campus, but if you can’t be there it looks like they’ll have a livestream of the presser here.

I’ll have more after the presser, but this looks like a great hire for the Beavers.
